2007 Cowboys won 13 regular season games (top-seed), had 13 Pro Bowlers (5 of them All Pros). The other installment seven years later finished 12-4 (3rd-seed); 'just' 8 Pro Bowlers but an extra All Pro - and they at least won a playoff game.
Who do you think is better between these two, so far, best Dallas squads this century?
Heck, maybe I should have waited until this season ended to post a '07 vs '14 vs '16 thread!
2007 VS 2014 Dallas Cowboys
Re: 2007 VS 2014 Dallas Cowboys
The biggest differences I see between this years Cowboys team and those couple teams under Romo that you mentioned is that Dak simply isn't making the mistakes that Tony did. We will see if that holds up through the playoffs but the fact that he has only thrown two interceptions through eleven games is extremely impressive. Dak (at this point) doesn't quite have the big play ability that Romo did but he also plays a little more under control than Tony.
Elliot is probably a better runner than what the '14 team and the '07 team had. I think this years defense is about on par with the '14 defense and weaker than the '07 defense.
Again though the biggest difference between the teams though is that the '16 squad plays much more under control than the teams under Tony did.
