Now why did you have to go and make me put together another rankings list?
I'm surprised I ended up with the 90 and 91 Bills this low.

Re: Rank all twenty '90s top-seeds
Well it was meant to be based on regular and post-season combined but reg-only is fine. Interesting list! '99 Jags over '93 Boys sure stands out (other than Miami, 62-7, who did they beat?)! You all taught me that SF's '90 installment not quite '89s "younger twin", but I still got historic stock in them. I place them above '92 and if behind '94, not by much. '92 Steelers? Yeah, may have to place them at #20. Now '94 Steelers another story and clearly won't place them just one notch above. You also all taught me that '96 Pack is better than I once thought, but still won't place them at #1. I'm going to have '90 Bills quite higher on my list. Redskins, Rams, Vikes all sensible high picks!

I'd put the 1991 Bills ahead of the 94 Steelers.

Re: Rank all twenty '90s top-seeds
'93 Cowboys getting no love, I see. Trust me, didn't like them at all back then. But there was a "hate to admit it" reason. An Emmitt contract dispute/Lett-gaffe away from finishing 15-1, actually. My reasoning for they being ahead of '94 SF is simply based on if the Switzer installment almost beat them (after shooting themselves in feet 1st Q, 0-21) then imagine what a more-disciplined Jimmy-squad from the year prior would do. '94 Forty Niners an amazing team though but just beneath '93 (and '92) 'Boys IMO and, actually, am wondering if maybe I should have also placed Washington just above them as well. My top-3, to me, are so close together.
You may be right. Bills' D did take a drop-off though in '91, and Steelers' D sure as heck gelled to form. That Bills' offense though seems to make the case. Pretty close IMO just the same. Now '94 Steelers vs '90 Bills? Yes, different story.Hail Casares wrote:I'd put the 1991 Bills ahead of the 94 Steelers.

Like 74-79 said above In regards to the '93 Cowboys Emmit's holdout probably has a lot to do with how they are viewed historically. If he played the full season they likely beat both Washington and Buffalo and would have finished the season either 14-2 or 15-1. I personally still think the '92 team was stronger but I definitely think that if the '93 Cowboys finished 14-2 or better they would be looked at a lot differently.
The '95 team is about right though in my opinion as the dynasty was beginning to unravel at that point under Switzer's leadership.
