PFRA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the history of professional football. Formed in 1979, PFRA members include many of the game's foremost historians and writers.
Some are okay, some are horrible. All are unnecessary. Complete money grab, obviously. The Dolphins weren't an embarrassment to the league, they were an embarrassment to the sport of football.

I don't know that it is really an embarrassment to the league. Maybe it is, though.
I think it is because, as I understand it, these uniforms are designed by Nike and approved by the NFL. The teams have little or no input or choice in the matter.

waitwhat? This is shocking in that an NFL team doesn't have much of a say in what their own uniform looks like. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but do not teams have free reign in how they market themselves? (at least in their own community)
