Coaches who influenced a team's uniform change
Parcells changing Jets unis back to the Namath Era and Kay Stephenson making Bills' helmets red (with the logic of the QB better distinguishing his receivers from Pats/Dolphins/Colts defenders) come to mind.
Any other examples?

I don't know for sure, but I think that Marty Schottenheimer may have influenced two changes:
1. In 1984, the Browns changed their unis. However, by 1985, they didn't use that change anymore, and went with something plainer.
2. In 2000, the Chiefs started wearing red pants again after over a decade of not wearing them. I wonder if Marty was responsible for that.

IIRC, Jerry Glanville was behind getting the Falcons helmets changed to black. (unfortunately)

Lombardi was the driving force behind the iconic G being added to the Packers' helmets in 1961.

Mike Martz got the gold underarm gusset changed
to match the rest of the jersey, don't know why he didn't like it.

Didn't he also change the Redskins to uniforms that were similar to the Packers?JohnH19 wrote:Lombardi was the driving force behind the iconic G being added to the Packers' helmets in 1961.

Yeah, Bob Long confirmed that in GB this summer. Lombardi changed the Skins unis so they "looked like a winner". The '63 Raider's new silver & black uniforms was all Al Davis. He was going after the Army look.MatthewToy wrote:Didn't he also change the Redskins to uniforms that were similar to the Packers?JohnH19 wrote:Lombardi was the driving force behind the iconic G being added to the Packers' helmets in 1961.

Lou Saban overhauled the Bills unis in 1962, ditching the Honolulu Blue & Silver for the basic Red, White & Blue scheme they still have today, along with the red grazing bison that adorned their helmets through 1973 (though the bison was not his design ...).

Comparing the Bills grazing bison w/ the buffalo nickel, they appear identical.JeffreyMiller wrote:Lou Saban overhauled the Bills unis in 1962, ditching the Honolulu Blue & Silver for the basic Red, White & Blue scheme they still have today, along with the red grazing bison that adorned their helmets through 1973 (though the bison was not his design ...).

Yes, Lombardi changed the helmet emblem from the gorgeous arrow and feathers to the R and feathers which also looked good. That emblem was changed again to the current one in 1972. Hard to believe it's now in its' 45th season.MatthewToy wrote:Didn't he also change the Redskins to uniforms that were similar to the Packers?JohnH19 wrote:Lombardi was the driving force behind the iconic G being added to the Packers' helmets in 1961.
