With the Chiefs I couldn't help but notice the linebacking crew.
In Detroit it's the Defensive Tackles who stand out:

"Alex Karras, 1965 (All-Pro, 16 sacks) and
Roger Brown, 1962 (All-Pro, 13 sacks) take the top two defensive tackle spots.
Doug English, 1983 (All-Pro, 62 tackles, 13 sacks, and recorded 2 safeties) and
Ndamukong Suh, 2010 (All-Pro, 65 tackles, 10 sacks, 1 INT and 1 FR that was returned for a touchdown) are the top backups."

That's a nasty group of interior defensive linemen.
And I do mean nasty.

I was surprised to not see an honorable mention for 1957's hero, Tobin Rote.
Then I looked up his stats.... talk about right place/right time...

Nice to see Wayne Walker mentioned. He is a Bay Area favorite, having done the local CBS affiliate Sports for decades.

Thanks, John.
Always a good read.

Someone mentioned these are done so I had to go back and find the Lions. I must have been asleep that day. I love seeing Dutch Clark, Father Lumpkin, Ernie Caddel, and Ox Emerson on the first team, George Christensen (he has my HOVG vote) on the second team and Ace Gutowsky (1936) and Glenn Presnell (1933) as honorable mention. Very nice. Presnell 33 was the first season I thought of - he stepped right in the year Clark was out of the game and had an MVP caliber season. My nitpick is I'd have Clare Randolph there as at least honorable mention Center. He was one of the 3 lineman that anchored the running game during that Potsy Clark era that eventually resulted in a title in 35.
