NFLGSIS

Post by JohnTurney »

They went through a change, looked more smart phone freindly, now they are back to old design, wonder if there had been too many issues

I notices that Pro Football Reference wnet more smart phone friendly, but they are not gotten all the fuctionality back into the system, searches are harder, you have to be careful, etc....

interesting, maybe PFR will go back to old system until they get the bugs out

Must have been a temporary glitch. I'm getting the newer design.

PFR is still an overcoded/overdesigned mess - just a more mobile-friendly one.

PFR worked just fine for me only for about a few days after the new design. Then it started completely locking up using any computer/browser combination I try other than Firefox on a PC.

The site works okay for me, but certain features are gone. Like to be able to check all or uncheck all the boxes, for example. You have to click on lots of stuff.

Also in individual play searches, the player name box is missing, so you have to take an extra step to find the plays you want by a player. First, you find all the plays, then you have to look manually to see the name you want.

The job gets done, and I am grateful for it, but it does take extra steps now.

PFR is great but I much prefered the old form factors, which you had an option to revert to the prior like Google does, of course Google probably has a few more programmers to support stuff like that!
