Anthony Calvillo as an NFL QB

Actually starting his pro football career in an American city (Vegas, during CFL's brief fling with the States), how do all of you think he would have fared as strictly an NFL QB? Not being drafted by any NFL team in '94, was there ever a time or times later on in his career when an NFL team considered him? When Trestman, his back-to-back Grey Cup-winning HC in Montreal, became HC for da Bears, Marc apparently had Calvillo tudor-up Jay Cutler.
