Most Deserving HoF Candidate by Team

Elliot Harrison at NFL.com has put together a list of the top candidates for the Hall of Fame by team.
It's an interesting list (or two) with a few good (Mac Speedie, Chuck Howley, Ken Riley, Kenny Easley... ok maybe more than a few...) and a few crazy picks.

He mentions an imaginary "Hall of Very Good" but does not associate it with the PFRA:
"Chris Spielman certainly was a Hall of Very Gooder, as was Al 'Bubba' Baker."

Mac Speedie was unable to get rid of the stink that Paul Brown put on his name for going to Canada. I've noted the story before that Speedie was scouting for a team in the 1970's and saw Brown at a post-season college all-star game. Speedie introduced himself and asked if Brown remembered him. Brown coldly brought up his going to Canada and walked away.

Good articles. A few disagreements, all. Gradishar, IMO, gets nod over Davis, but reasonable folks can disagree. I'd go Foreman over Blair and Kramer over Butler, though I like Butler and Lemar Parrish over Riley.

Joey Browner is another Viking deserving consideration but I can't argue with Blair.
Some teams don't have any obvious candidates and some have more than one.
I agree that Jerry Kramer should be the next Packer and Chuck Howley may be the best player not in the Hall.

Good articles. A few disagreements, all. Gradishar, IMO, gets nod over Davis, but reasonable folks can disagree. I'd go Foreman over Blair and Kramer over Butler, though I like Butler and Lemar Parrish over Riley.

I also agree with Foreman and Kramer, but would go with Ken Anderson over Parrish and Riley. Faneca is most likely a lock to get inducted in my opinion so I would go with either Shell or LC.

Perhaps the PFRA should have trademarked the term "Hall of Very Good" - Just a thought.

I think that there was a 'Hall of Very Good' for at least one other sport before the PFRA used the term.

Lemar Parrish or Ken Anderson over Ken Riley.
Gary Anderson or Joey Browner over Matt Blair.
Johnny Robinson over Deron Cherry.
Joe Fortunato over Steve McMichael.
Tom Sestak over Kent Hull.
Lavvie Dilweg over Leroy Butler.
Al Wistert over Brian Dawkins.
Randy Gradishar over Terrell Davis.
Morton Andersen over Pat Swilling.
Is Chris McAlister really the best Raven available? Maybe so.

Still, for this type of exercise, he did pretty well. And even some of his second raters are well worth mentioning and reasonably defensible.

rumblings are that Kramer may re-emerge in a few weeks, nothing certain, but there is talk. Howley is being looked at again, Brazile, too. Will be interesting as always

Interesting lists!
Not many complaints except I think I'd pick a different player for the following...

Bears - Kavanaugh
Packers - Dilweg
Rams - Harold Jackson
Eagles - Wistert
49ers - Banducci
Redskins - Gene Brito
Bengals - Anderson
Broncos - They have Davis but if it were my list I'd have to go with a dead heat tie between him and Gradishar
Colts - Mike Curtis
Chiefs - Robinson
Raiders - Lamonica
Steelers - They have Faneca listed so is probably a lock anyway as someone mentioned. So I'll go with a tossup between Shell and Greenwood.
Chargers - Again, Tomlinson is a lock. I'll pick Coryell.
