Spoofed e-mail address.

This does not deal with football, but I just wanted to bring this to everyone's attention. I received an e-mail (at conace21@gmail.com) from a Phillip Wilson oldecapecod@hotmail.com. I assume it is the same oldecapecod from this forum. Someone with the e-mail address conace2121@gmail.com had sent Phil an e-mail asking why he was such a jerk. Phil responded with a lengthy diatribe, the original sender responded, and then Phil forwarded the e-mail to me, with a few choice remarks. I wrote back that I had nothing to do with the original e-mail and had never used conace2121. If anyone here receives any unusual or insulting e-mails from a conace2121, please reach out to me. Thank you.

Well hang on then. Assuming you're not joking, Jeff. If BOTH of you got something from Phil, has the security of our site been compromised then? I know we were down for a bit yesterday. I'm not web savvy enough to know if that has anything to do with anything. But if if someone/something is sending out bizarre emails from spoofed emails based on our own emails to other members of the group this might be something important to look into by the powers that be.

Has anyone else here gotten anything weird from oldecapecod? I mean weirder than normal.

I don't know if the security of our site has been compromised, Chris. Anyone can create an email address. Somebody, perhaps a lurker on this site, simply created a new email address that was similar to mine.

The site has not been compromised. Phil Wilson and Mark Wald have been doing everything they can to try to slander the PFRA in any way that they can since we would not allow them to continue to ruin the forum. My guess is that it is just the two of them playing games. If Phil does not like being called a jerk, maybe he should stop being a jerk.

Had issues with them a while back on a social network along with a couple possible sockpuppet accounts, it died off for a while but will keep eye out for anything new.
