Gamebooks

Post by Steviek »

It seems like no new historical gamebooks have been posted to the NFLGSIS site in years. The site still lists 1981 as the earliest year they're available from and the same missing games are still missing.

Other than the seasonal releases (2014, 2015), it has been a long time since any gamebooks from years past have been uploaded on the PFRA site. I meant to bring that up during the meeting last weekend but the actual official PFRA meeting kinda got squeezed out this time around. Next time they will have to build more time into the schedule for introductions due to the large number of people attending, or perhaps move the introductions segment to Friday which seems more appropriate.

While it has not been a regular update, we have made a few updates in the last year or so, including the Pro Bowls, Super Bowls and the 1963 Lions. We would have more from the Lions, but my scanner does not handle 11x17 paper. I am working on getting more Buffalo Bills ones, but it is going to take some time.

Thank you.

Nope. The NFL runs the NFLGSIS site.

11x17? They must be the official scoresheets that were sent into Elias in the pre-internet days. Most of old "gamebooks" were legal sized (8.5x14).
Anyway, what about taking them down to the local FedExOffice and reducing them down to 8.5x11?

Next time you're up in Buffalo we can scan 11x17 where I work at Evenhouse Printing.

They may be that (8.5x14). They came directly from the Lions.
