Both beat SB-Champs-to-be on the road albeit 'Leon Lett game' and Niners yet to start running-on-all-cylinders. Both got off to great starts before crumbling on down and out of the playoffs. Strictly judging Miami during their 9-3 start, and Eagles during their 7-2, who's best between these two?
Is Shula's record-breaking affair at the Vet in '93 a good enough indicator in this?
'93 Dolphins VS '94 Eagles (before their collapses, that is)

'93 Dolphins had better wins- Buffalo (their only loss until THAT MNF debacle in Pittsburgh), Kansas City, Dallas.
Amazing to think if they just beat the Jets ONCE, they would have been 10-1 and had enough cushion to survive '86 Jets style.
And yet, despite the 5 straight losses..... if the Raiders don't beat Denver in the last game (Hosteler threw a final play touchdown to tie it, Elam missed a makeable FG), they STILL would have snuck in.
As for the '94 Eagles- outside of the 49er 40-8 game, the only other decent teams they beat were Green Bay/Chicago (and they finished 9-7).
