Also, Manning's passing numbers in SB 50 are roughly similar to what John Elway put up in SB 32:
Manning SB 50 - 13/23 for 141 yards with no td's & 1 interception
Elway SB 32 - 12/22 for 120 yards with no td's & 1 interception
Manning SB 50 - 13/23 for 141 yards with no td's & 1 interception
Elway SB 32 - 12/22 for 120 yards with no td's & 1 interception

Wonder how many Denver fans had a bad flashback when they took a 10-0 lead.

Elway's td reception in Super Bowl 22 is exactly what ran through my mind when yesterday's Broncos went up 10-0. Part of me sat there afterward waiting for the roof to cave in, but my confidence soon returned when it became apparent that there were no Tony Lilly's in Denver's defensive secondary.BD Sullivan wrote:Wonder how many Denver fans had a bad flashback when they took a 10-0 lead.

I'm not a Denver fan but I mentioned the potential coincidence to my wife who had no idea what I was talking about, if she was even listening. I half expected Carolina to explode in the second quarter in a fashion somewhat similar to Washington.BD Sullivan wrote:Wonder how many Denver fans had a bad flashback when they took a 10-0 lead.
