According to multiple internet sites, the following nine things need to happen in order for the Indianapolis Colts to make the playoffs:
1. Colts beat Titans
2. Texans lose to Jaguars
3. Bills beat the Jets
4. Dolphins beat the Patriots
5. Ravens beat the Bengals
6. Falcons beat the Saints
7. Raiders beat the Chiefs
8. Broncos beat the Chargers
9. Steelers beat the Browns
The Falcons beat the Saints? At first I couldn't figure out why the result of an NFC game would impact the playoff chances of an AFC team, but apparently it has to do with strength of victory of the AFC teams the Colts are competing against to get into the playoffs.
Them's some heavy odds. It'd be interesting to know if any team ever ran a similar gauntlet to get in.

Are you saying they don't control their own destiny (to use a sportscasting/writing cliche)?mwald wrote:According to multiple internet sites, the following nine things need to happen in order for the Indianapolis Colts to make the playoffs:
