BILLS vs Niners '81 (Pontiac)
Re: BILLS vs Niners '81 (Pontiac)
The Bills had moved into Dallas territory with a nice pass to (I think) Frank Lewis, but it was wiped out by a penalty on Conrad Dobler, either holding, or a personal foul. Dobler repeatedly leg whipped John Dutton, and was called for two or three penalties. Chuck Knox tried to pull Dobler in the middle of a series, but he refused to come out. Dobler was benched after the series, and as punishment was benched for the next game against his old team, St. Louis.

Dobler got called for two personal fouls (shocking, I know) and holding, while Walls had two picks on the night. Buffalo should have been up at least 17-7 at the half, having the ball at the Cowboy nine with 23 seconds left. However, Ferguson slipped and tried to throw some desperation pass into the end zone, which was picked off by Michael Downs.conace21 wrote:The Bills had moved into Dallas territory with a nice pass to (I think) Frank Lewis, but it was wiped out by a penalty on Conrad Dobler, either holding, or a personal foul.
