Those games are shown with the Spanish broadcast of the game (Monday Nights are with ESPN, the commentators, including former placekicker Raul Allegre, fly every week to the site of the game. My brother has a friend who works at American Airlines at the Mexico City Airport and he says they travel each week with AA), while the Thursday Night game is shown with Fox Sports in a Spanish broadcast (yes, I know NFL Network and CBS cover the game in the USA, but in Spanish its Fox). When they started showing those MNF games in the cinema (about 7 or 8 years ago) it was a bargain: for 50 pesos (nearly 5 dollars at the time) you could have also a hot dog and a beer, and if you went to three games, the fourth game (plus the beer and the hot dog) were for free. Unfortunely, that promotion no longer exist, but you can accumulate points with each visit to the movie theater and you also can use the points to watch a movie. The commercials are not shown, instead they put advertising for the next movies to be shown or promotions by the cinema. Something interesting it's that you can buy also the beers, soda, popcorn, etc. inside the theater, they are just below the screen, or you can go outside to the candy store.oldecapecod11 wrote:
Do you know the conditions under which those nfl games are shown in theaters in Mexico? Is it common - or rare?

Looking forward to seeing the final result.Teo wrote: On a side note, I'm willing to write my experiences at the NFL games at Aztec Stadium for the Coffin Corner. It's a work in progress, but I hope to finish it soon.

From a pure travel standpoint, it would be an improvement over London.
The 49ers and Cardinals didn't have a bye week after playing in Mexico.
