Re: Jim Plunkett VS Eli Manning

^I'm curious what exactly Eli did outside of winning 2x Super Bowls? If one says he was great in the playoffs, I believe it, with an 8-4 record and 18/9 TD to INT. Re: 2026 Hall of Very Good Nominations

I hope this helps clarify. If you have any more questions or any suggestions, feedback, etc., please let me know. The HoVG committee is always open to feedback from PFRA members. I've mentioned it in the past a few times. One change I'd like to see is, once we have a ballot and get to the voting pr...

Re: 2026 Hall of Very Good Nominations

Too small a window ? Or always this way? Seemed longer before ... In recent years, 6-8 weeks has been typical. There will be several announcements between now and April to remind members to submit nominees. We have opened the nominations period earlier than in years past because we have resumed wri...

AFC North came down to the final play of the regular season, too.

I think it shows that Pro Bowls mean little nowadays.

Re: John Fox -- HOVG?

There are exceptions, like Bill Belichick. He's been out of the NFL for over a year but he will very likely be elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. As a result, he is ineligible for the Hall of Very Good. Maybe not so very likely. Goes to show much of the HOF i...

Re: John Fox -- HOVG?

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/coaches/FoxxJo0.htm Having last coached in 2017 Fox won't be eligible till 2043. As always (for me) it depends on who else is on the ballot... There are other coaches I might put ahead of him but maybe by '43 they'll already be in. Generally, coaches are typic...
