Re: N.Suh
FWIW was only in top ten in PSI's rankings a few times, but did have "blue traits" in other seasons. I know early o n 2010-11 Suh got suckered s lot. He got trapped and few for draws pretty often ... compared to the best, but he did play the way a lot of coaches teach ... though the block,...

Re: N.Suh
Suh and Kevin Williams similar in a lot of ways, but think Williams has better case and he gets no attention, but Suh has bigger name and might (sadly) have a better shot Atkins is interesting since Bryan brought him up. He's the classic 3-tech and was also great. Oddly playing in a more pass rush f...

Re: Can someone identify a magazine?
I had a magazine that apparently I have misplaced. It was from 1995 and I think it was to celebrate the 30th Super Bowl but it may have been a preview of the 1995 season. All I can recall is it had a section with box scores and write ups of simulations of three potential SB XXXs. In one replay Dall...

Re: 1980 Denver Broncos- What went wrong?
The 1980 Broncos lost running back Otis Armstrong to a career ending neck injury vs. the Oilers in Week 9. Armstrong saw only part time action during the first three weeks of the season but was inserted into the starting lineup in Week 4 at New England. He responded with an 80 yard rushing performa...

Re: 1980 Denver Broncos- What went wrong?
Maybe that's an assumption. However, when Ralston was there, I think he got final say, so I assume that Miller did as well. Buchsbaum seemed to guess how Ralston was listening to Carroll Hardy, and Miiller wasn't. Honestly, no idea how it worked. If Hardy was solid, it had to be because of pre-1977...

Re: 1980 Denver Broncos- What went wrong?
Outside of 1980, Miller's drafts generally weren't great That's on the kind side. They hit on just a few guys, and the misses were pretty big. That said, not sure it was Miller's fault. I don't know how their organization worked --- but you'd think he got final say ... but I don't know that for sur...

Re: 1980 Denver Broncos- What went wrong?
Upside is that year brought in Dan Reeves. Broncos brass didn't wait for Miller to correct he ship, they got a new captain and in 1981 LBers healthy and QBing better ... and a winning record ... Reeves was brought in because he was the same age as Edgar Kaiser, the new owner (he also changed GM's b...

Re: 1980 Denver Broncos- What went wrong?
First off, I think that QB was a big reason. In the draft, Red Miller wanted BYU QB Marc Wilson. However, they didn't think he would be there with the 20th overall pick. So, they made one of the worst trades in team history when they sent a first and second round choice (in the 1980 draft) to the J...

Re: Don Shula's Best Teams
Are we talking regular season only? If so my answer wouldn't change (1973) but other teams would rank higher in my view I don't know that I have a final opinion on ranking Shula's best teams but I did find their relative offensive/defensive placement interesting. PFR's listing based on points (as op...
