Can someone identify a magazine?
I had a magazine that apparently I have misplaced. It was from 1995 and I think it was to celebrate the 30th Super Bowl but it may have been a preview of the 1995 season. All I can recall is it had a section with box scores and write ups of simulations of three potential SB XXXs. In one replay Dalla...

Re: Have we considered digitizing the data in game books?
I thought they had wanted to do it years ago but didn't have enough volunteers to do it. Maybe I am thinking of something else though...I just know it had to do with play by play or gamebooks.

Re: 1987 NFC playoffs hypothetical
What if Minnesota doesn't even MAKE the playoffs and we get Cardinals/Saints instead of that mediocre 8-7 Vikings team having two randomly insanely good games? The Vikings were 0-3 in replacement games. At 8-4 in other games they were better than an 8-7 team though their playoff success was still u...

Re: 1972: Steelers VS Redskins
While this may be of little value the two teams tied in preseason 10-10. Bradshaw played the whole game while Jurgenson and Kilmer split time.

Re: '84 Broncos discussion
I saw them at the time as a paper tiger. Not a 13-win team. They benefited from at least one fluky win (in the snow against Green Bay), and not one but three come-from-behind 16-13 wins over division rivals. Still, I had to give them credit for prevailing in what was an insanely competitive AFC Wes...

Re: '84 Broncos discussion
Maybe someone mentioned it and I didn't see it but didn't Elway get injured in the playoff game? I seem to recall him limping a lot in the 4th quarter.

Re: Notable Landry-vs-Shula games
Landry wasn't the Cowboys' coach in 1993 though.

Re: Notable Landry-vs-Shula games
The games that stand out to me are 1981 and 1984. In 1984 the Cowboys had a great comeback to win 28-27. 1984 the Dolphins knocked the Cowboys out of the playoffs for the first time in 10 years. That game was great also.

Crazier than a time when the color of your skin determined whether you could play in the major leagues or not?

Re: Something dumb that you remember about watching the NFL
Would not a pump fake qualify as "any intentional forward movement of his arm" and even if not how would the official determine whether something was a pump fake or a change of mind? I never like rules that involve mind reading. I think what annoys me about the conversation here though is ...
