Re: Playoff teams that could have had bad starts (to their season)

The 68 Jets had two ghastly losses (Buffalo & Denver) a close 1 point win against KC, and 4th quarter come-from-behind wins over Houston and SD in the first 7 weeks of the season. Instead of 5-2, they could have easily been 2-5.

1988 Tim Krumrie and NT season tackle totals

Tim Krumrie unofficially had 152 tackles in 1988. Can anyone tell me if that is the highest season NT tackle total? Also, were there NTs who would regularly have 100+ tackles each season?

1980s NFL Films team histories

I remember in the mid-80's NFL Films put out some different franchise history videos. I remember Legend of the Lightning Bolt (Chargers) and Years of Glory, Years of Pain (Bills), but I think there were a few others that I am not recalling. Does anyone else remember these?

Johnny Unitas "broke" #6 by winning a Super Bowl with three completions.
Unitas played all of 19 snaps in Super Bowl V.
See? He helped his team win by leaving the game.

JameisBrownston wrote: Sat Jan 04, 2025 2:30 am Well, Andre Ware came after Campbell. Lance only didn't get the job back because Purdy was unexpectedly too good to sit. The most recent similar example would probably be Paxton Lynch, but he was a late 1st rounder.
Josh Rosen, Akilli Smith?

I would vote for Heidi Bowl....has anyone seen the actual game footage available?

A few others not mentioned:

Bears/Giants in 1925

Browns/Eagles 1950

Colts/Lions 1960

Oilers/Dolphins 1978

Rams/Bucs 2000
