Chuck Knox is also in my personal HOF. He was a winner.

Re: COFFIN CORNER VOLUME 47 NUMBER 6

People who argue that Pearson doesn’t deserve his bust in Canton just don’t get it…and this is coming from a Vikings fan. Pearson was to receivers as Namath was to quarterbacks. He was much, much more than the numbers on a page or screen will ever be able to tell you.

Re: Coaches with no championships in the NFL/AFL/AAFC

The best way to phrase it is "never to win a world championship." Though I'd personally go with someone who never even made the Super Bowl: Marty Schottenheimer. Interesting, why Schottenheimer first of those seven? Schottenheimer had a ton of regular-season success and just some bad luck...

Re: Billy Howton

Yes, the HOF definitely missed the boat on the all-time leading receiver at the time of his retirement. Howton and Del Shofner are the two senior receivers most deserving of enshrinement.

Re: Historian Lists From Recent TalkOfFameTwo

That’s really too bad. Along with the great historical content I especially enjoyed Clark’s thoughts on each week’s games.

Their top 6 QB’s, top 4 RB’s and top 4 WR’s are in complete accordance with my lists.

Re: Favorite season in NFL history?

Back in the 2019 section of this thread I gave the reasons that 1967 is my favourite season. But, even before I saw Shinobi’s post above, I also wanted to give a shout out to the 68, 69 and 75 seasons. 1976 is also one of my faves.
