After 3 years of retirement, Maxie Baughan was put on the active list and suited up for Washington in 1974, but never went on the field.

Didn't the Bears trade Virgil Carter to the Bengals in 1970 after Carter referred to George Halas as being "gutless" in the local papers? That was the year that Carter replaced an injured Greg Cook as starting QB and led the Bengals to their first division title.
