Re: Playoff teams that could have had bad starts (to their season)
Possibly the 2011 Giants fit here? They were 5-2 through seven games. But that included a win over the Dolphins where they trailed 14-3 early, 17-10 just after halftime, and didn’t take the lead until over halfway into the fourth quarter. There was also a game where the Giants beat the Cardinals af...

Re: “Half” Super Bowls
No, but in hindsight, the 1983 Raiders@Redskins regular season meeting could have been labeled as Super Bowl 17 1/2.That said, any playoff games in rounds before the Super Bowl that were labeled that to your knowledge?

Re: “Half” Super Bowls
In 1979, I think that Pittsburgh's Week 9 matchup at home against the Cowboys was referred to as SB XIII 1/2.

Re: NFL "what-if" scenarios thread
DET was 7-1 at home while ATL was 2-6 on the road (and didn’t win away from the Georgia Dome after October 22) (On the flip side, ATL was 7-1 at home and DET 3-5 on the road, oddly winning their last 3 following that ATL game) The Falcons were the worst pass defense of all time until 2011 and the L...

Re: Clark Kent Wild Card Weekend
At least that was real. A lot of these players today are actors. And, it is about the storyline, not the play on the field. Not me. I don’t miss the days of 1980s 13-10 NFC East snoozers

Re: Clark Kent Wild Card Weekend
The Texans are nothing more then a waste of a divisional playoff spot Thanks a lot Chargers Now we have to pretend Stroud is still allegedly good A lot of these teams aren't as good as we think: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axzNskQ0iLw I would rather talk old-school NFL than this modern garbage.

Re: Drew Magary: Tom Brady's College Tape was Dog-***t
Dick Rehbein scouted Brady at Michigan and told his wife he had found the next Joe Montana. Naturally. Joe Montana. The person that started it all. Before Montana was deified, I don't remember anyone deifying Bart Starr (who won five titles, but three of those don't count because they are Super Bow...

Re: Drew Magary: Tom Brady's College Tape was Dog-***t
With 4 TDs and 0 turnovers and a come from behind victory, maybe evaluators needed to understand Brady's desire and intangibles more than just physical attributes. Charlie Weis still doesnt get enough credit for developing him. OK. Well, Drew Magary said this in response to his great stats: The gam...
