I saw a graphic somewhere else today (pro-football-reference newsletter?) with all the all time leaders in various stat categories for 10/31. I was a bit amazed that the all time TD pass leader in Halloween games was Sammy Baugh with 10.

I am a fan of the team but there were Native American groups that complained about the name years ago so this narrative about it only being a recent "woke" thing is false. True. The Washington ownership pretended the name wasn't a problem until all their sponsorships, stadium vendors, etc...

Looking at the Hall of Very Good list, it says he was voted in eight years ago. If you had to do it over again would you not have voted him to that?

At the time I think the "selling point" of his HOVG candidacy was the total of his NFL career as a player and a coach.

Pat McInally was the Bengals punter and WR from 1976-85, however he didn't catch any passes after 1981.
