Re: 1981 AFC East discussion

I'll agree this is one of the more interesting divisions since the merger. The Colts being one of the worst 2-14 teams ever and the Patriots being one of the "best" 2-14 teams ever. I don't think anyone expected the drop off for either team. Especially the Patriots. Bert Jones was deterior...

Re: Any recent NFL TV broadcast footage discoveries?

One game I once saw a radio broadcast upload of, but that I would be intrigued to watch the actual footage of is the 1979 Bucs-Chiefs game where the Bucs clinched their first playoff berth.
There's highlights of that rainy quagmire of a game on YT. Not the whole thing though.

Re: Jim Plunkett VS Eli Manning

Hard to say. I think I would give Eli the ever so slight edge. Plunkett's early career struggles are probably "lower" than any portion of Manning's career. The two championships each are a wash. Their respective best seasons are about even, maybe Plunkett slightly better.

Re: Jim Plunkett VS Eli Manning

With the exception of his first season in which he split time with Kurt Warner, and his final season in which he split time with Daniel Jones, Eli threw double digit interceptions in ALL 14 of his other seasons. He even led the league 3 times. Aside from those two Super Bowl victory seasons, he neve...

Re: 2026 Hall of Very Good Nominations

Too small a window ? Or always this way? Seemed longer before ... There is nothing to stop a member from doing their research outside of the nominations period, then turning in a nomination when the window opens. If you want to spend (let us say as an example) eight months searching for a candidate...

Re: 2026 Hall of Very Good Nominations

I hope this helps clarify. If you have any more questions or any suggestions, feedback, etc., please let me know. The HoVG committee is always open to feedback from PFRA members. I've mentioned it in the past a few times. One change I'd like to see is, once we have a ballot and get to the voting pr...

Re: Clark Judge's annual post-vote column

Interesting that Manning required 35 minutes of debate.
