Re: Atlanta Falcons/New Orleans Saints rivalry discussion

early 90s there was a lot of "cross pollination" between rosters. Bobby Hebert, Michael Haynes and Morten Andersen are guys that immediately come to mind. The '91 Wildcard game is always the first thing that comes to mind when I think "Falcons, Saints" but the next is exactly th...

Plus caught a TD, obviously. So 100% involved in the Lions 19 of 19 passing.

Re: Worst-ever teams to make/win the Grey Cup?

Ottawa won their first Grey Cup as the REDBLACKS in 2016 with a losing record. They seemed better than their record during the season to me, though. Teams with losing records won in back-to-back years in 2000 & 2001, those teams didn't seem better than their records despite eventually winning th...

Re: Interesting decision by Belichick in 1994

Conservative but not overly so. In 1994 you were allowed to play defense, as opposed to now where the Colts would just complete a couple easy passes to wide-open receivers downfield and still have time for a shot or 3 at the endzone from roughly just outside the redzone. In '94 odds of them going 96...

Re: An overlooked running back performance

Thanks Reaser, wow, speaking of an overlooked game, I had no idea about Jerome Harrison's game for the Browns in 2009. The Browns were so bad back then that maybe I simply didn't pay attention to any outstanding performance. Despite that game, he didn't have over 900 yards rushing that season and o...

Re: An overlooked running back performance

I'm not sure it's overlooked. Seems more remembered than Lewis' also short-lived record-breaking game, and certainly more remembered than Harrison's game which obviously didn't break the record, but passed Dillon. Side note: Interesting that both UW & WSU are represented in the top-4 single-game...

Re: Mike Evans will probably never be first-team All-Pro

Stats and a ring, he has good odds based on PFHOF standards.

Also, surely whoever is arguing his case "in the room" will say PFF named him 1st-team All-Pro and that they had him graded as the best WR in 2016.

Wouldn't be in 'my' HOF but based on what the PFHOF is, good shot.

John was part of that. Should be a thread on here somewhere with everyone's thoughts.
