Re: Clark Kent Wild Card Weekend
The correct move for the Vikings next year to both win now and prepare for the future is to let Darnold walk and get paid elsewhere, and sign Rodgers to a 1 year deal, who will bring Adams with him. This offense will be obscene for the year or two it's together, and preserves the developmental time...

Re: Clark Kent Wild Card Weekend
The Rams didn't step up until their schedule got easy. When you play the Raiders, Jets, Saints, Patriots, of course you're gonna look good. When you play the Giants, Jets, Colts, Jaguars, Titans, Cardinals, and the Bears twice, you're also going to look pretty good, maybe far better than you actual...

Re: 1980s NFL Films team histories
There was a 49ers history called Pure Gold , and maybe a couple others, but only a handful of teams got the history treatment. A more common version of this was a VHS with four or so of the team's most memorable annual highlight films; the Vikings and Broncos got these, and the Cowboys had a series ...

Monday playoff game moved
Because of the California wildfires, Rams-Vikings will now be in Glendale, Ariz. As I understand it, it's the first time this has happened with an NFL playoff game since the 1936 championship game between Green Bay and Washington was moved to the Polo Grounds.

Re: Dave Volsky's YouTube channel
That makes me wonder how exclusive their licenses are. I remember some legit companies in the '80s (Heron, Fox River or something like that) that distributed a lot of their videos, but would they grant a license to a dude selling DVD-Rs out of his basement?

Re: Greatest regular season games of all tme
One that sticks out in my memory and hasn't been mentioned was Dolphins-Raiders, 12-2-84. MVP-to-be Marino vs. the defending champs. The fun started with a 97-yard TD interception return by Mike Haynes. The lead changed hands four more times, culminating in a four-TD fourth quarter. Mark Duper got M...

Re: 2024 NFL Playoff Predictions
I hope the third time's the charm in your predictions, but the Packers looked like they were playing the season's first exhibition game yesterday. If they're even half as sloppy in Philadelphia, they'll lose by four touchdowns.

Re: Dave Volsky's YouTube channel
I got the sense from reading excerpts from his book that "Ace" is a bit of a BSer.

Re: Dave Volsky's YouTube channel
If the individual creator of the work, or a descendant, still owns the copyright? Yes, that's another thing. But copyrighted works are the victims of corporate neglect more often than they're not, especially now that so much work is no longer in physical form and can be withdrawn from streaming/digi...

Re: Dave Volsky's YouTube channel
I would be in favor of a revision to our copyright laws that acknowledged the ubiquity of digital technology and the accelerated pace of production and distribution. This January 1 as in previous years, a whole raft of important works (early Disney cartoons, Virginia Woolf's A Room of One's Own , et...
