Re: 2026 52 Modern-era candidiates
Thank you. Might have been alot more hands involved in Packer's decisions, than just his. Cliff Christl felt former HC Lisle Blackbourn deserved as much credit for those great player drafts as Vainisi. Christl had some strong opinions about former receiver, Billy Howton as well. I can understand Ho...

Re: 2026 52 Modern-era candidiates
I know this is a different thread but Ken, what is the real story with Jack Vainisi ... on your site you mentioned misinformation concerning him? Was he a true GM with GB or Head Scout or Personel or everything? Was he more a financial officer/liason to official ownership? He was head of scouting, ...

Re: 2026 52 Modern-era candidiates
I had Lomas Brown on my podcast to talk about the push from the Lions. He was obviously flattered. he is interesting candidate, but his big knock was him saying he intentionally missed block(s) to get his QB hurt. 15 years later he said he regretted it Hard to say if he intentionally missed blocks,...

Re: 2026 52 Modern-era candidiates
Tackles will be interesting. Willie Anderson has been in discussion for a few years. There are good pitches for Richmond Webb and Lomas Brown Barry Sanders sent a letter to all the voters and his time running out (also Webb getting close) Have no idea if the pushes for Brown and Webb will take a li...

Re: 2026 Hall of Fame Seniors - Last 52 Ranked by Position Group
My guess is different makeup of the committee. They have not met in person yet, so it is tough to say unless the voters mention why they voted the way they did in the cutdown votes.Brian wolf wrote: ↑Fri Oct 24, 2025 10:25 am Thanks Ken ... in a nutshell, any word on why Lester Hayes was dropped, or just different member, subjectivity?

Re: 2026 Hall of Fame Seniors - Last 52 Ranked by Position Group
Keep in mind that this year, the makeups of the three committees are different, so you will see different results. The hall randomly picked half of the main committee and spread them out over the three committees. The remaining half will be on the committees next year. For example, John McLain and I...

Mike Moran is your guy, particularly on early Giants history.

Re: Pro Football Hall of Fame question
I'm glad a few got in, but I wouldn't have taken those players. Heffelfinger: I like to see a minimum of 4 seasons and if you add up all of Heff's games I don't think you get that. I know he was part of the CAA's big tour in '92 and obviously he was a ringer for the A's a few times in Pittsburgh an...

Re: Frankford Yellow Jackets book
I think that it was Brian Michael that I spoke to a while back. That would be the photo book on the FYJ.
