Re: New seeding proposal

I am fully on board with the Lions' proposal to change seeding - wild cards should be able to get higher seeds than division winners, as long as division champions still get in the playoffs. However, I can't agree that the 2002 realignment ruined division rivalries. Nearly every rivalry stayed intac...

Re: A Vikings/Broncos Super Bowl XXII

Everyone seems to be on the Vikings' side here, but John Elway was the league MVP (admittedly undeserved over Jerry Rice) and the Vikings were only 8-7 in the regular season. I think the Vikes' magic had to run out at some point, and unless Anthony Carter went off like he did against San Francisco, ...

We also came very close to a Scorigami. 40-22 had happened only once in NFL history before. Unfortunately we couldn't get a garbage touchdown out of Kenny Pickett that would have given us a 47-22 score and the first Super Bowl Scorigami since XLVIII (43-8).

Re: Super Bowl LIX facts

- Should the Chiefs win, they will have the best winning percentage in Super Bowl history amongst teams who have been to at least three Super Bowls (5-1, 83%).

- Should the Eagles lose, they will become the fifth team to lose at least four Super Bowls (Vikings, Broncos, Bills, Patriots)

Re: 1987 Gillette MVP trivia

So I came across my old Gillette Cavalcade of Sports VHS....they award the 1987 Gillette 'People's Choice" NFL MVP award. A panel of experts pick one candidate for each of the six divisions, and then fans call a 1-800 number to submit their vote for the MVP. So...can you guess who the six cand...

Re: Postseason matchups that you would have liked to seen...

Aside from any "could've, should've"s about the Packers, here are the ones I'd love to have seen... 1987 NFC Championship Game - #4 New Orleans Saints (12-3) at #1 San Francisco 49ers (13-2) The best two teams in the league in 1987 both got knocked out by an 8-7 Minnesota team. That would ...

Re: Last 2 way player?

A better question might be, who was the last 2-way lineman? Someone who played on the offensive line and either defensive line or linebacker. E.J. Holub of the Kansas City Chiefs comes to mind.
