Re: officials-seeing-things-that-didn't-happen rant
There are so many penalties that the game is virtually unwatchable (not to mention unplayable). If the game can't be played without 20-25% of the plays being deemed illegal or subject to review then the rules need to be changed to something more readily understood and executed. I have been fighting...

Re: officials-seeing-things-that-didn't-happen rant
To answer the question in this thread's title, during a Thursday night Packers-Bears game this year, the officials decided against penalizing the Bears for roughing the punter, saying one of them touched the ball as it was being booted. One of the officials had thrown a flag on the play but was appa...

WLAF/NFLE All-World Teams and award winners
Does anyone know of a good source for World League of American Football All-World teams and yearly award winners (MVP, Coach of the Year, etc.)? I'm incorporating the honors into the yearly league pages on StatsCrew.com. You can see an example from the USFL at https://www.statscrew.com/football/l-US...

Re: Steve Young ranking during Super Bowl era
Young started out slowly. His USFL numbers were not great, and his time in Tampa forgettable. He struggled or largely sat the bench for most of the first half of his career, but for most of eight seasons he was spectacular. How does that compare with other passers who would be Top 10 players? Here ...

Re: USFL Boxscore Book?
This should be possible. As mentioned, 1985 would be the tricky one, but most if not all the 1985 boxes appeared in individual issues of The Sporting News. Any stragglers could most likely be found in press releases, game programs or newspapers.
