Re: '64 Packers discussion
The Packers defeated the Cleveland Brown 28 to 21 on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. This was one of the Packers best efforts in the Lombardi era. Thanks to terrible placekicking the Packers finished at 8-5-1. Cleveland was the NFL Champion defeating the Baltimore Colts 27 to 0.

Eagles Come at Passing vs Steelers
gainst the Panthers, the Eagles had their continuing problems with scoring in the first quarter. Fully expected is that this will catch up with them at some point in the next four games, the Playoffs, or both. I remember the Birds leaving points on the field in three games during that six-game win...

Eagles Defeat Panthers 22 to 16
The games was really close so Philadelphia has allot to work on. There were two big plays that hurt. (1) Jake Elliot missed a 52 yard field goal attempt, which could have cost the game. On the last drive, had the Panthers scored a touchdown the Eagles still would have been ahead by one point with al...

Eagles Defeat Rams 37 to 20
It was really fun watching the Philadelphia Eagles 37 to 20. Since they are using Saquon Barkley so much, I am hoping for one or even two meaningless games to rest the regulars and experiment with plans for 2025. I fondly remember the losses-two in 2004 to the Rams and Bengals and the loss in the fi...

Cardinals Also Ran in Chicago
For years there were attempts to relocate the Chicago Cardinals. Finally they moved to St Louis after 1959. Restrictions in those days meant there were no televised games if even one team was at home. CBS could not televise a game within a 75 mile radius of the location. If both teams were away, the...

Re: Eagles Defeat Commanders 26 to 18
I think we can say the Bears let us down. Injuries are always big and of course the titles go to those teams that avoid them. I have seen the NFL grow from 12 games in the 50s to 32 now. The talent is stretched even more so injuries draining a team's roster are common. I really don't think the offic...
