1989 Packers with Majkowskis big year going 10-6. They won a lot of close games.
they were 4-12 in 1988, 6-10 in 1990, and 4-12 in 1991

Re: 10-6 or better teams to miss the playoffs
Only difference between '63 Chargers and '99 Jags was that the former lucked-out on not having to face the very team in the playoffs who swept them in the regular season. Or would SD have averted such a ‘hat-trick’ as Cleveland did at Giants’ expense in ’50? Sometimes it's the hot team. A player ba...

The Colts coach, Keith Molesworth, played for the Bears from 1931-1937 with the last 5 years under George Halas. Halas coached and lost that first game to the Colts and Molesworth who left after that 3-9 season. They beat Chicago again in week 3. edit - Granted me using Halas may be the easiest pers...

Re: Silly Rules
I posted this in another thread. Happened in a recent Wash v Phil game. Offsetting penalties on the return of a punt the ball goes to where it was fielded. Same thing on a Kickoff. A KO fielded at the 2 with a return out to the 25 and an illegal block at the 20, the ball goes half the distance to th...

Mean Joe Greene says he couldn’t play in today’s NFL. https://www.forbes.com/sites/terencemoore/2018/10/25/joe-greene-says-hed-be-too-mean-for-modern-nfl/ I think if someone shows him Kalil Macks salary, he'd change his mind. ;) No, his point is that his style of play wouldn’t be allowed. He was ef...
