Well, this is an incredible coincidence. I started this thread four years ago. Today I wanted to reference it and came here figuring I would have to dig through the archives to find it. I was astonished to find it had just been bumped to the top!

I agree that 1989 was one of the lesser seasons, with all the mediocrity in the AFC and the horrifically lopsided Super Bowl. One thing it did have going for it was a pretty good divisional round.
