Re: Teams that benefited from the 2002 realignment

Also I settled on my favorite alternate 2002 realignment without switching the divisions; I like the idea of moving Baltimore to the NFC East and putting Houston in the AFC Central. Baltimore when they were the Browns played the Cowboys, Cardinals, and Giants a lot at one point, they have close prox...

Re: Teams that benefited from the 2002 realignment

Oh man I think you would have to give the title to the Colts without question, they had no business being in a "South" division with the expansion team that was put in Houston(and one that was suspiciously set up to fail from the start). Those 2 wins ever year went a long way in the Colts ...

Re: What's the least interesting divisional pairing?

For me a good rivalry or interesting one doesn't necessarily have to be about both teams being good or playing in playoff or championship games. And that is something that is lost to time with some of the old rivalries over the years. But look at Redskins vs Cowboys, for me a much bigger overall riv...

Re: Jaguars Texans Rivalry

Buccaneers-Redskins is bad for teams which both have multiple SB wins. 22 games, only one marquee matchup. 5-3 Buccaneers beat 5-3 Redskins in 2005 36-35. Seems like a good game. Teams only played each other 3 times from 1977 to 1992. Never in the playoffs in the same season. Colts-Jets is a funny ...

Re: What's the least interesting divisional pairing?

I have a thing for the Cardinals being in the NFC East matching up with Dallas, Washington, NY, and Philly, good stuff there in 75-76 when the Cardinals were competing for that division with George Allen Skins and Landry Cowboys, then the Neil Lomax years those were good division matchups against Gi...

Re: Jaguars Texans Rivalry

I remember the 2023 Jags vs Texans game and thinking about how it was really the first meaningful meeting between the two teams in the 20 plus years since they were in the same division. The Texans have seemed to have had the Jaguars number since inception, we got our first ever road win in Jacksonv...

Re: 1998

Marino for me falls into the Barry Sanders category. I hate to talk negative about their careers because they were amazing and two of my favorites to watch, but these guys careers have been overly romanticized and they are built up now like they were all time bests at their positions and there's jus...

Re: 1998

You make some great points but after watching through so many games of the 98 Dolphins, I'm convinced there has been a growing narrative since his playing days that Dan not getting a ring was a lot of other people's fault. This 1998 season he deserves a lot of the blame, he had a tremendous opportun...

Re: 1998

I watched the 1998 Pro Bowl, I never realized Elway played in this game and that Super Bowl XXXII wasn't his last game really. Also was really shocked at how hard the game was played, there were some hits that would have got players ejected today and they didn't even get a flag, in the pro bowl. Key...

Re: 1998

For the Falcons I believe they are a bit underrated. They get some hate for messing up everybody's dream Super Bowl that year but I believe the better team won. If Minnesota had been able to hold on to their lead and win somehow in the NFCCG I believe they get blown out even worse by Denver in the ...
