Re: Least experienced QB corps ... ones with fewest wins going into season

2017 Browns: only Cody Kessler had any previous starts, and he was 0-8. Kizer rookie, Hogan no starts. Needless to say, they didn't add any wins that year either.

Re: 2025 Hall of Very Good Finalists

I've been thinking for a while that it'd be cool if we had a more active "campaign season" for players we support. So I like the idea of putting some hype threads on the HOVG forum. Too bad I can't use "One and Dunn" as a campaign slogan, since he missed on his first ballot last ...

Re: 2025 Hall of Very Good Finalists

Huh, I wouldn't have guessed that committee members don't collab. Thanks for the enlightening info! So the list turning out so unusually homogeneous and skewed early is more or less an accident.

Re: 2025 Hall of Very Good Finalists

..."Super Seniors." There are a lot of them on this ballot.... That's a "Super Senior" explosion this year. Wow! It kind of feels like a win to see that list even if none of them get in :D It's honestly too much. I'm afraid they're just going to steal each other's votes. 3 pre-N...

Re: 2025 Hall of Very Good Finalists

Looks like a lot of returning names. Clem Daniels making it is nice to see. After what we went through last year with Red Dunn, I'm extremely surprised to not only see him back but Jack McBride also, who gets nominated often but I haven't seen him as a finalist. I'll vote for both and am really hopi...

Re: My 5 this years

Jack McBride, interesting choice. Does he get nominated often? Haven't seen him make a ballot. If Red Dunn couldn't get in, though, I can't imagine McBride having a better chance.

Re: AAFC records now to be acknowledged by the NFL!

The only thing this probably changes is that Spec Sanders passes Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts for season rushing yards and TDs by a QB? Can't think of any other records still standing from the AAFC.

Tush Push rule proposal

Many of you have probably heard that the Packers (ironically, they've used the "Love Shove" a few times themselves; I'm surprised it wasn't WFT) proposed a rule change attempting to ban the tush push at league meetings. The proposal is written as follows: “No offensive player may... immedi...

Re: My 5 this years

I could vote for Tommy Thompson depending on the ballot. He had one MVP-contender season, if there had been an award that year, and most of the rest was solid for the era. WWII also knocked out a good bit of his career, although in his case it seemed to be in the middle of one his least productive s...

Re: My 5 this years

I feel like someone nominates Phil Simms every single year, but has he ever even been on a ballot? I wonder why, he seems viable.
