Re: My 5 this years

Jack McBride, interesting choice. Does he get nominated often? Haven't seen him make a ballot. If Red Dunn couldn't get in, though, I can't imagine McBride having a better chance.

Re: AAFC records now to be acknowledged by the NFL!

The only thing this probably changes is that Spec Sanders passes Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts for season rushing yards and TDs by a QB? Can't think of any other records still standing from the AAFC.

Tush Push rule proposal

Many of you have probably heard that the Packers (ironically, they've used the "Love Shove" a few times themselves; I'm surprised it wasn't WFT) proposed a rule change attempting to ban the tush push at league meetings. The proposal is written as follows: “No offensive player may... immedi...

Re: My 5 this years

I could vote for Tommy Thompson depending on the ballot. He had one MVP-contender season, if there had been an award that year, and most of the rest was solid for the era. WWII also knocked out a good bit of his career, although in his case it seemed to be in the middle of one his least productive s...

Re: My 5 this years

I feel like someone nominates Phil Simms every single year, but has he ever even been on a ballot? I wonder why, he seems viable.

Re: Elam Ending in the NFL

It's semi-serious, i.e. I know it won't happen but it'd be nice to never have to watch low-effort 4th quarter football again. Not sure how you could argue *against* the idea that winning-team 4th-quarter football is easily the worst product on the field any given Sunday?

It is exactly this. I figured this was common knowledge.

Elam Ending in the NFL

Much like basketball, the end of a football game is very often the worst football played in the game. It's arguably even worse . No one goes to a game to watch teams run out the clock and, worst of all, kneel. So let's make every game end in a score; say, set the winning score at 10 points above wha...

Re: My 5 this years

My 5: Clem Daniels (RB) - legit best scrimmage stats among AFL RBs. OG PPR royalty. Carroll Dale (WR) - it's far beyond time... right?! Roy Green (WR/DB) - with Travis Hunter coming in, now is exactly the time to recognize Green. Norm "Wildman" Willey (DE) - wildcard pick, we've all heard ...
