John definitely is the master of all-decade.
I'll add another curious one: Rick Upchurch was the 1980s All-Decade kick returner. His final career kick return? 1979.

Re: Matthew Stafford: HOVG, or HOF?
Namath and Dawson(TSN) also did it for the AFL. Of all those QBs, it seemed like Elway carried his teams. Once Denver gave him a supporting cast, similar to Stafford with the Rams, he finally won a championship. Now, with expectations high, its time for Stafford to get that second championship, whi...

Re: Matthew Stafford: HOVG, or HOF?
Matthew Stafford joins this list — quarterbacks with an MVP and a Super Bowl ring (as a starter): * Johnny Unitas: 3x MVP, 3x champ (1x SB champ) * Bart Starr: 1x MVP, 5x champ (2x SB champ) * Ken Stabler: 1x MVP, 1x champ * Terry Bradshaw: 1x MVP, 4x champ * Joe Theismann: 1x MVP, 1x champ * John E...

Clark Judge's annual post-vote column
Hi all — PFHOF 2026 is in: Roger Craig, Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald, Luke Kuechly, Adam Vinatieri. Clark Judge asked myself and Ken Crippen to publish his annual post-vote column, including debate times. Here it is! https://readjack.wordpress.com/2026/02/05/a-small-class-but-a-great-one-one-voter-t...

Re: Belichick, Reid... then who for Canton?
I saw someone compiling a spreadsheet to track voters on the record as either voting for Belichick or not voting for him, but I didn't see that sheet getting to anything definitive. When someone is not elected, all we know is that they failed to reach 40. We now have reports out that Craig is in and...

Re: 2026 HoF Seniors
I was too young to have remembered the game at the time, and when I watched it in full as an adult I remember thinking Montana was a great choice. Not only did he have 331 and 3 TDs with zero turnovers, he ran for five times for 59 yards and a TD: * 15 yards on 3rd and 7 * 19 yards on 1st and 10 * 6...

Re: Matthew Stafford: HOVG, or HOF?
It definitely helped, because the team met expectations making the NFC Championship game. He will also probably be MVP. Agree 100% with Brian. It helped in a massive way. Even if he doesn't win MVP, he is AP1, passing champ and TD champ. And unless we're entering a new era where two QBs split MVP a...

Re: 2026 HoF Seniors
Roger Craig got in, and very well deserved! Congrats to him! There is one question I have though: Could he have gotten in sooner if the 49ers threepeated and the fumble in the 1990 NFC Championship Game never happens? If they three-peated, then yes, though I don't get the feeling that people collec...
