Re: 2nd Tier: QBs
Re: Drew Brees not making the second tier: from ESPN: 'Drew Brees just posted his fifth career 5,000-yard passing season (the rest of the known universe has combined for four -- ever)' That is a truly incredible stat. Here is a list of some of the receivers he has had: Lance Moore, Robert Meachem, B...

Re: 2nd Tier: QBs
If you're only allowing for one of Manning or Brady in the first tier, it has to be Brady. There is no doubt. None.
To the second tier, I would add (in no particular order): Marino, Elway, Favre, Moon, P Manning, Staubach, Brees, A Rodgers, Fouts, S Young

Re: Old School Fantasy Sports
Thank you for the feedback! On the randomness question, we have three selection criteria that define their weekly performances: 1. Weekly Opponent: a number of plays will come from the weekly opponent the athlete is scheduled to face 2. Base Year: a number of plays will come from a particular year o...

Old School Fantasy Sports
Hello all! I wanted to share with you a project I’ve been working on for some time now, that was inspired by the work of the PFRA, many a Coffin Corner article I’ve read, and a lot of the conversations on these boards. It’s called Old School Fantasy Sports, and it allows you to play year-round fanta...

Re: Duper/Clayton VS Bruce/Holt
Got to go with Miami here. Their passing attack was certainly ahead of its time: - in '84, Marino put up 5,084 passing yards at a time where you just didn't pass that much. QBs in today's NFL pass-happy league don't put up those kind of numbers. - in '84, Clayton had 18TDs. Bruce/Holt top out 13 an...

Re: If you had to pick one player, past or present...
I second Tom Brady (which pains me to say, because I'm a Falcons fan...), but all the guy does is win. The passion he shows on the sideline is the kind of attitude I'd want on my teams.
On DEF, Reggie White.
